TECH AND FACILITIES COORDINATOR

The Arc of Lehigh and Northampton Counties is a non-profit advocacy/provider organization whose mission is to advocate, educate, and provide services and supports for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families, and is a local affiliated chapter of The Arc of the United States and The Arc of Pennsylvania.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Tech and Facilities Coordinator is a full-time salaried non-exempt position and will be reporting directly to the Director of Quality and Compliance. The Tech and Facilities Coordinator will be responsible for providing support to our personnel on all aspects of hardware and software technology. They will specialize in areas of troubleshooting network, server, and end user desktop/portable device incidents. Providing support and experience in a Microsoft environment. This individual would be responsible for being the contact person for maintenance or building related issues.

QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate will be knowledgeable in all aspects of the field and have 2-4 years tech support and experience. Server and network administration experience. Undergraduate degree in applied technology area such as Information Systems or Computer Science is preferred. Experience with Microsoft Exchange 365. Understanding of CompTiaA+, CompServer+, Network+.

JOB SKILLS REQUIRED

Ability to troubleshoot PC hardware/software and printer problems. Innovative, team-oriented problem solver. Excellent organizational, time management, and follow through skills. Ability to work in a fast paced environment, sustain a high level of productivity, and manage multiple competing priorities.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE

Working with Microsoft Office and Google Apps for Business & Education
Mobile Device Operation Systems (Android, iOS)
Troubleshooting Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems 7/10, Microsoft Server 2008/2012, Linux OS
Experience with networked storage, enterprise data backup solution, Amazon AWS, Microsoft Active Directory, and VMware and virtual machine.

SPARC INSTRUCTOR'S ASSISTANT (SUBSTITUTE)

OVERVIEW

The Arc of Lehigh and Northampton Counties is a non-profit advocacy/provider organization whose mission is to advocate, educate, and provide services and supports for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families, and is a local affiliated chapter of The Arc of the United States and The Arc of Pennsylvania.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for assisting in the day-to-day implementation of programming and personal care needs of SPARC participants.

Maintain a working knowledge of the policies and procedures as set forth by The Arc Board of Directors and Administration; seek clarification from supervisors as necessary and adhere to the policies and procedures. Maintain a working knowledge of PA state regulations as they apply to programming and facility maintenance.

Ensure the safety of all participants as per policy, and report any safety issues to supervisors immediately.

Maintain active communication with all persons directly supporting assigned participants.

Assist in all personal care needs for SPARC participants (Toileting, feeding, and lifting.)  Maintain the cleanliness of the classroom each day.

Assist in the maintenance of a safe, clean and organized work environment/program area. Check supplies and restock bathrooms, kitchen, program area, and lockers daily as per the morning activities schedule.

Exercise care in use of all SPARC equipment and supplies and report any breakage or shortages to immediate supervisors

Attend and participate in all staff meetings and training sessions as scheduled.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Have a High School Diploma or GED or 2 years’ experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Individual must be able to meet established physical requirements of job (i.e. providing ambulatory assistance, lifting various weights and performing any necessary CPR/First Aid, etc.)
